Laver (porphyra umbilicalis) is similar to Japanese nori, with a distinctive nutty flavor. Best lightly roasted before use, laver is delicious crumbled onto soup, salad, rice, pasta, potatoes or popcorn. It's also good in stir fries.
Laver has significant amounts of vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, C and E.
