These one-of-a-kind bookmarks feature real, hand-pressed seaweed, carefully arranged to highlight the natural beauty and intricate forms of marine algae. Each piece is a tiny work of art - no two are ever the same.

Made by Jordan Chalfant, ecologist at the Maine Natural History Observatory and seaweed artist based in Bar Harbor, Maine.

Dimensions: 7" x 2.75"
Materials: Wild-harvested seaweed, heavy-weight cardstock, sealed for preservation

Each bookmark is made from real seaweed collected along the Maine coast and hand-pressed using traditional techniques. A thin layer of sealant helps protect the delicate structure while preserving its natural color and form.

Because this is an organic material, subtle fading over time is normal. We recommend storing your bookmark out of direct sunlight when not in use to maintain its vibrancy.
